The warmth and richness of the wood adapts especially well to our upscale collections. It compliments the more ellaborate designs of our wood benches and is appropriate to all surroundings. Equiparc has selected the highest grade woods available :
Jatoba (JAT) and Ipe (IPE)
Both from South America, these hardwoods offer incredible longevity and outstanding beauty. Both are very strong and highly resistant to any climate. The application of a clear preservative oil is sufficient to maintain their superb aspect.
White Oak (WOA)
This hardwood offers a great durability for outdoor as well as indoor use. Its natural whitish tone is accentuated with pale grey shades; we apply a clear protective stain to bring out its beautiful light color. Our supplies are sourced from southern Quebec, southern Ontario and north-eastern United States.
Douglas Fir (DFP)
Douglas Fir is a tough and durable structural wood well suited to the demands of public seating. Many stain colors are available to accentuate its natural beauty.
Hardwood (HWA)
Select Hardwood such as Oak and Ash are recommended for indoor use only. Applying a clear sealer insures richness and quality.
Certification: IPE and Jatoba of premium quality lumbers are manufactured and produced in Brazil. The cutting of trees is ruled by the 1995 Brazilian Federal Law # 4771 and by the IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of Environmental and Renewable) registered #48-1995. Our wood supplier is certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) which assure protection against massive deforestation and the respect of the environment. This certification ensures that all IPE and Jatoba are purchased from Brazilian growers who harvest under the guidelines and techniques of sustainable yield forestry management as set forth by the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO).
Among other materials, recycled plastic is used in the manufacturing of site furnishings, from park benches to upscale metal outdoor furniture series.
Recycled plastic offers the following advantages: it is maintenance-free, ultra durable, does not crack, rot or cause splinters. Colors available: grey (YRP), brown (BRP), sand (SRP), green (GRP), red cedar (CRP) and walnut (WRP).
Available lumbers (2X3, 2X6, 1X4 bullnose, and corners) in the following sizes: standard length of 6, 10 or 12 feet. Other lengths available. Contact us!
PVC covering is an economic and maintenance-free choice. For the bench and the picnic table, the slats are reinforced with hardwood, offering extra strength and durability. This covering is available in color sand only.
In order to offer highly resistant products, we use raw materials like steel and aluminum combined to the best finishes of the industry.
Our steel parts are hot-dipped galvanized in order to resist rusting. Optional painting (GP Option) is available in a large choice of colors - see Powdercoat below.
Our aluminum outdoor furniture and our aluminum frames are rustproof and durable. Most of our aluminum benches features solid cast aluminum frames. A durable powdercoat finish is applied - see Powdercoat below.
Well adapted to the outdoors, polyester powdercoating features a highly resistant adherence. Our standard colors for the aluminum frames and for the GP option are "Black", "Metallic Grey" and "Metallic Silver". Other colors from the RAL color chart are also available, for further information please contact our sales department.
Our concrete site furnishings are made of 35Mpa (or 5000 PSI) reinforced cast concrete, certified CSA, BNQ and CPCI.
You can choose between 3 different aggregates: Natural (our standard concrete color), Gravel of River or Red Granite, all enhanced with a sandblast finish. To ease the installation, our products have built-in lifting handles.
Equiparc guaranties its products to be free from defects in material and/or workmanship for a period of 5 years except for the products from the PVC collection which is for a period of 2 years. This warranty is effective as of date on purchase invoice.
The breakings or alterations caused by vandalism, "Acts of God" or terrorism are not covered by this warranty. Equiparc is not responsable for any direct or indirect damages or alterations caused, including the cost of removal and installation.
Furthermore, this warranty does not apply to damages or alterations resulting from inadequate assembly or installation, or misuse of the products.
Equiparc will, at its discretion, repair, replace or refund the purchase price of any items found defective upon approval by an authorized Equiparc service representative.
